Sibling Love

It isn't always sibling love in this house...but when it is, I grab the camera!

Lauren doesn't have school on Mondays so I will often find her sneaking into Miles' room during nap time to play on the floor. Thankful it is only 1 day of the week that Miles skimps on the nap.

It is hard to come by during the day.

This little one is easily unsettled
and doesn't appreciate the noise of his siblings.

I guess a finger in the mouth and slumping over works!

We've been trying to get the kids outside more...away from electronics and toys...just off to their own devices; exploring.

They have fun.

Aunt Erin's Wedding

We celebrated with Aunt Erin and Uncle Brian a few weekends ago at their wedding. The whole family participated in the big day.

Miles had his first experience begin a ring bearer.
Lauren got to be a flower girl for the 2nd time.
We started the day at 7:30am and ended around 11:00pm. For such a long day, the kids were real troopers! Lauren and Isaac hung out in the morning getting ready with the girls while Dad and Miles stayed with the men. After the wedding, we drove around and let the kids nap before the reception. They danced their little hearts out the whole night and we drug them out around 10:30 to begin our trek home. We asked Kyle's aunt and cousin to help us wrangle the kids during the day and that was very helpful!
The wedding was outside on a beautiful lake. Perfect weather!
I was a bridesmaid and Kyle was an usher.
It was a fun day with Kyle's family. We are also very excited that Aunt Amanda and Uncle Ryan will be adding some more kids to the family in February!!

1 Month

Where has time gone? Our not-so-little Isaac James is already 1 month old!

At his 3 week appointment, he weighed 10lbs. 3oz.
We are starting to get more action from him: smiles, looking at us, enjoying when we talk to him.
Miles can usually be found attempting to play with him, showing him his favorite toys, and demanding that he wake up!
Our snoozy baby transferred just beautifully out of the ergo carrier one afternoon.
 Our 4 week shot
 Nice cheese face Miles!
 Such a little man!
Jaimie and Mindy came to visit one morning and love on Isaac.

Lauren is 5!

Lauren turned 5 on September 4th. We always celebrate her birthday over Labor Day weekend, this year it was jammed with activities.

Saturday morning started off with the Runt Run. This was the second year Lauren participated in it.

Balance Beam
 Log Carry
The pictures got out of order. This was her actual birthday. Special chocolate chip pancakes in the shape of a 5 and dark chocolate almond milk in a wine glass.
 Mud pile
She requested homemade mac and cheese for supper. I line the bottom of the dish with pizza sauce.
 Jumping in the cold mud
Kyle and I laughed at her birthday presents this year. Kyle gave her socks, an umbrella, a sketch pad and I gave her reusable stainless steel straws, scotch tape, and bubble gum tape. That is what she wanted...
 Another mud pool
After our nightly walk we treated ourselves to an ice cream cake (first time kids have tried it). Lauren was excited because she was able to pick the route on our walk too. I think we zig-zagged a few times because she forgot how to get home.
 hay bale climb
Done! She wanted to do it again!
She requested a presidential birthday party. We had a voting booth to vote for the favorite potato chip

All the presidents on the wall
Chips up for vote. Ginger Wasabi was the favorite from those who voted.
She wanted American Flag "Stab-Ins" in her cupcakes. People were mighty confused when she would say "stab-ins" in public.

With our family in town, we opted to have Isaac baptized on Sunday. It was a fun weekend!
